Sharing her love for painting

Jan Zakrzewski

Jan Zakrzewski

Jan began painting in 1973 as a hobby, yet it wasn't until she started sharing her techniques with friends and family that her true talent for teaching emerged.

Armed with boundless energy, unlimited patience and her love of painting, she began teaching in an art and craft store in Arkansas. In 1988 her dream of owning her own studio became a reality. Jan's Art Studio located in Bastrop, Louisiana, has become one of the few studios nationwide to host major workshops with nationally and internationally known artists. People come from all over the country to attend these great workshops.

Jan teaches weekly classes in her studio to children, adults and senior citizens, and she travels around the country sharing her love of painting with countless others. Additionally, Jan's Art Studio offers custom framing, art supplies and other products to enhance and improve your painting experience.

Martin/F. Weber

Weber Art Learning Center

Just a brief note to let you know that Jan's Art Studio has been selected as a Martin/F. Weber Art Learning Center. This is a unique concept in the Art Industry. The Martin/F. Weber Art Learning Centers are a network of Weber Approved Travel Teachers, local art teachers, and Art Studios which are collectively working together with the Martin/F. Weber Co. to provide top quality education opportunities and the finest art supplies for today's painter. What that means is we will have the opportunity to share with you, our students and customers, more exciting classes, workshops, and quality products in the future.

Only a few, individually owned retail businesses nationwide have been hand selected to become Martin/F. Weber Art Learning Centers. I feel much honored to be chosen. Martin/F. Weber Co. is teaming with individually owned retail businesses to help us compete with big chain stores that are putting small businesses out-of-business on a daily basis. Jan's Art Studio will be listed on the Martin/F. Weber Co. web site, plus the web sites and companies interested in promoting art education to all artists, no matter their skill level.

Martin/F. Weber Co. is the oldest and one of the largest manufactures of art materials in the United States. They produce quality products, such as Permalba Paints, Prima Paints, brushes and many other fine artists' materials. I have always carried Permalba paints because I know the quality is always the same, and over the years, they have remained consistent and reliable. You can visit their web site at Weber Art.
